The Harlequin vase is inspired by the typical 16th century Italian Commedia Dell'Arte character (the "Arlecchino") and his costume in its geometric design of perfectly aligned diamonds, created from our traditional bevels. In Italian theater, this geometric design represents the multi-faceted state of the buffoonish archetype.
