Cabbage, in its rough and flat form, could be used as a metaphor for Portugal’s rustic ways, which Bordallo Pinheiro had so many times caricatured. This was a clever way to honour it, placing it on the bourgeois’ tables, where other way it had not been invited.
A simple transversal collection in various colours that come together to create either a more traditional dinner set or a more dynamic and fun one. Besides the colours aqua green, lettuce green and grey, Fantasia now features a variety of warmer colours, asking to be used in the colder seasons of the year: oat, red, cocoa and olive green.
Inspired in the renascence blue tiles by Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro, Rua Nova combines tradition and modernity. With a variety of utilitarian pieces and table accessories in four colours, this collection makes a tribute to the blue tiles, which can be admire in so many Portuguese streets.
"Maria" - since 1916, this name has stood for one of the most popular and successful Rosenthal porcelain services. For generations, it has been the porcelain for weddings and other festive occasions: stylish and timeless. Its elegant charm lies above all in its classicist form and the balance of classical and romantic stylistic elements - such as the delicate pomegranate relief. A silver tea service from around 1815 was the model for "Maria". The company's founder, Privy Councillor Philipp Rosenthal senior, had acquired it on a trip to England.
Swiss designer Regula Stüdli has cast an opulent burst of delicate blossoms and leaves across a fine white porcelain surface: pink roses, light yellow daisies and evergreen leaves. These fragile plants envelop porcelain cups, plates and jugs with a velvety softness – alone, as a garland or in an ensemble. This sees a wonderfully poetic ensemble emerge from the combination of the fine Pink Rose floral design with the classic polygonal tableware format.
The distinctive Rosenthal tableware Maria Weiss is one of the most popular porcelain series of the internationally successful Franconian company. The series was designed by company founder Philip Rosenthal based on a silver tea service that was around 100 years old and that he had found in England. Maria was introduced in 1916 and has since become a classic among porcelain connoisseurs.
Sanssouci is a cheerful, lively form that charmingly reflects the rococo. With the decor "Moosrose new Ramona" this is underlined by small bouquets of moss roses and a narrow gold border.
