Dargin Cotton Beige Cushion Cover

This collection is inspired from the Embroidered textiles Dagestan, Russia. These tribal textiles were given as gifts at weddings and all big life events in the community. All the motifs have deep symbolic meanings. Boldly modernistic and abstract they are unlike any other tribal textiles of Central Asia. In fact they are often compared to the work of Paul Klee or Matisse. But these motifs and the Kaitag craft are centuries old. Translated with signature embroideries using similar techniques.
