Suzani Bliss Ivory Multi Cotton Quilted Bedspread

Sarita Handa’s ‘Bliss Suzani Quilted Bedspread’ is adorned with large, intricate Suzani medallions on an ivory base, with intricate embroidery in a palette of spice tones that invoke the warmth and richness of Central Asia. It took 40 hours of meticulous hand craftsmanship to create this masterpiece, which is an heirloom-worthy addition to any home. Traditionally, creating a Suzani was a community activity. Women in nomadic tribes of Central Asia would work together, embroidering large pieces such as this, for decorating their homes or for a daughter’s trousseau. Their blessings and good wishes are stitched into each Suzani motif.
