Suzani is an indigenous art-form that originated from tribal and nomadic cultures, who used rich spice colours, to create intricate embroidery on wall hangings, canopies, prayer mats and home decor, dresses, which were part of ceremonies or a bride’s dowry. Sarita Handa recreates this magic on the ‘Honar’ cushion cover, as part of our Suzani Retrospective. The result is vibrant art and rich traditions for your living spaces.
